Reusable Packaging Information

This reusable sleeve is designed to protect your mobility cane during carrying and transportation and to be used multiple times.

Material

rPET — Recycled Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET 1)

The PET 1 material identification is also printed directly on the reusable sleeve.

How to Reuse

1. Remove your mobility cane from the sleeve.
2. Keep the sleeve after unpacking.
3. Reuse the sleeve when carrying or transporting your folded mobility cane.
4. Continue to reuse the sleeve for as long as it remains clean, functional and suitable for  its intended purpose.

There is no need to return the sleeve to Ambutech.

Important Cane Care

The sleeve is intended for carrying and transporting your folded mobility cane. It is not intended for long-term cane storage.

For long-term storage, remove the cane from the sleeve and store your folding cane fully extended and straight.

Storing a folding cane straight reduces prolonged tension on the internal elastic cord and can help extend the useful life of the cord and cane.

Care and Cleaning

Cleaning the sleeve as needed can help extend its useful life.

Washing

• Empty the sleeve and shake out any dust or debris.
• Spot-clean stains using a soft cloth and a small amount of mild detergent.
• Hand wash in cold or cool water using mild detergent.
• If machine washing, use a delicate or gentle cycle. For additional protection, place the sleeve inside a mesh laundry bag.
• Rinse thoroughly to remove detergent residue.

Drying

• Air dry only.
• Lay flat or hang to dry with adequate airflow.
• Allow the sleeve to dry completely before placing your mobility cane inside.

Do Not

• Do not use hot water.
• Do not use bleach.
• Do not use fabric softener.
• Do not tumble dry.
• Do not iron.
• Do not expose the sleeve to high heat.

Reuse System

This sleeve is intended for customer-managed reuse.

After receiving your mobility cane, keep the sleeve and reuse it when carrying or transporting your folded cane.

The sleeve is not part of a return-to-Ambutech collection system.

Expected Reuse

This sleeve is designed and intended for repeated use rather than single-use disposal.

The actual number of times the sleeve can be reused will vary depending on the type of mobility cane, frequency of use, handling, cleaning and other conditions.

Continue to reuse the sleeve for as long as it remains clean, functional and suitable for its intended purpose.

End of Life

When the sleeve can no longer be reused, recycle or dispose of it according to the waste and recycling requirements in your local area.

Recycling availability and collection requirements may vary by country or municipality.
